The Gambia National Petroleum Company (GNPC) announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vale Media Group (VMG), the African Oil & Energy B2B events company, to partner together to co-host the 6th Annual Upstream West Africa Summit 2020, which will take place between the 16th – 18th June 2020 in the capital city of Banjul, The Gambia, marking the inaugural International Upstream Oil & Gas event for the West African country.

The MoU covers a comprehensive programme for both parties to engage in, from pre-event planning, PR & marketing, establishing a USWA content committee to allow engagement with key stakeholders from the International Upstream Oil & Gas community, through to onsite event execution and post event follow up, to ensure the 6th Annual Upstream West Africa summit is delivered to the highest standards.

For the first time in the institution’s history and in general in the annals of The Gambia, a major international conference in oil and gas is being hosted by the country.
